you're invited! the Dread Crew launch party
The launch party for The Dread Crew: Pirates of the Backwoods is set for Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 1-3 PM on the Halifax waterfront. Click here for a gigantic-sized invitation with all the details, as well as never-before-seen artwork from the book.
Hosted by the Nova Scotia Writers' Federation and sponsored by the beloved Woozles, there will be books for buying and signing, grub for snacking, authors and illustrators and editors for meeting and squashing. It's a happy and near-unbelievable day, and everyone is welcome to join us.
I'm also doing my best to get the launch party livestreamed for faraway friends - or at least the structured portion which will include a reading and Q&A session. Stay tuned for details, and call me if you know how to livestream. Really. Truly. Ack.

Alison - it's not looking too good right now. I just don't know how to do it, and neither does anyone else, and I don't want to be futzing around on that day. At the very least, though, we're going to videotape it, and string together a series of clips to watch, and I'll upload those the day after. So not so much a livestream as a next-day-stream. Kind of. :)
