The winners: stories that stick

Random.org spat out 28, 36, 8, 29 and 15. Once all the fascinating, wonderful submissions were lined up from 1-40, this gave us the following winners from among all the participants of the Dread Crew meme:

Betsy of Tales from the Dairy Air

Loth of The Gym Isn't Working

Maria of Mommy Melee

Shriek House

Steph of 1000 Dog Eared Pages

Congratulations! As soon as humanly possible, you will be sent a crew of roughnecks to slam you up against a wall and demand all your finest junk. In return, they will hand you a signed copy as well as a spot in the reviewer's circle, which will take form shortly on this blog. Thanks again to everyone for playing along!

The Dread Crew: Pirates of the Backwoods has officially landed in Halifax, and will be shipped to retailers shortly. I go to crack open a box tomorrow, and hold the real-live book for the first time. The launch party is a week from today.

Thinking I need a good leech-oil rubdown and a rotten egg smoothie. You?

DAMN! Well, if I didn't win (insert 'poor, pitiful meeeeee' whine here) you certainly couldn't go wrong with the lot of people you have!

What an awesome reviewers group you're going to have!!

Magpie and daysgoby, it was kind of brutal actually. The random generator thingy gave me the numbers and the people of course are lovely but I was like BUT... BUT... BUT... and of course that's only because I wish I could give a copy to everyone. I enjoyed this so much. And now have a reading list that's about 200 titles long.

And Magpie if you're feeling all indie-contrary, you could always order from Woozles too. Their link is on the book page.
