Loved the outpost comment- about how you build up your writing. That really struck home for me. Also struck by the amount of encouragement your parents gave you, engendering in you the sense that being a writer is not so outlandish a profession, as well of course as your innate talent. I am sure that that gift of confidence is what makes children grow up to be whatever it is they want to be.

Sydney makes me laugh. Who does he keep looking at? I loved your ponytail here. Another thing I never really knew - that Eric is real. I thought he was more a less a muse. Well, I guess he IS, just that his empty stomach was not figurative the way I thought it was. Why is it taking me this long to see this stuff.
