They'd first settled on the beach but then, two days before the wedding, Sarah said I wish we could just do it in the park and her imminent sisters-in-law leapt into action with permits and a heads-up to the RCMP detachment and you know what? It was the most delightful, comfortable, and perfectly fitting ceremony I've ever been to, as guest or as photographer.

Nick and Jen were married at a sailing club, the first of two weddings I photographed in one weekend. Plaid ties, and hats, and handmade lace, and so much love and my god, the size of those families, some of which came from as far away as Holland. It was a beautiful night that only got more beautiful as the sun set over the bay.
